Michael Goar, President and Chief Executive Officer

Joining the team in January 2021, Michael works with the dedicated board of directors, talented executive leadership and hardworking staff to establish the strategic direction of Catholic Charities and to oversee its implementation. With a strong background leading foundational organizations that sustain and serve both their clients and the larger community, Michael is a mission-driven, visionary leader working to advance the vision of a community where there is poverty for no one and opportunity for everyone. Tracy Berglund

Tracy Berglund, Senior Division Director, Housing Stability

Tracy recently announced her plans to retire from Catholic Charities in Summer 2022 after nearly 23 years with the organization. Berglund has overseen extensive efforts to create client-driven, trauma-informed responses to housing and homelessness needs in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, including the development of the Higher Ground Minneapolis, Dorothy Day Place, and Midway campuses, having served tens of thousands of Minnesotans during her tenure. Most recently, Berglund played a critical role in securing a site and funds to more than double Catholic Charities’ housing opportunities in downtown Minneapolis with the new Exodus Residence. tracy.berglund@cctwincities.org

Richard Johnson, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Margaret King

Margaret King, Senior Director of Single Adult Housing Division

Margaret King joined Catholic Charities in September of 2021. King comes to Catholic Charities with an extensive history of leadership in large, complex organizations in the public and nonprofit sector that address homelessness and housing instability in both Seattle and in the Twin Cities. Most recently she worked for the Minnesota Interagency Council on Homelessness and for the Heading Home Minnesota Funders Collaborative on building responses to unsheltered homelessness, as well as on supporting the state’s COVID-19 response for people experiencing homelessness. Prior to this work, she project managed the development of the service navigation center to replace the largest homeless encampment in the Twin Cities. margaret.king@cctwincities.org


Elizabeth Knight

Elizabeth Knight, General Counsel

Elizabeth leads the Legal and Compliance team at Catholic Charities. Elizabeth is responsible for legal analysis and advice to Catholic Charities on issues that affect its work – including those that impact clients. The General Counsel serves as Catholic Charities’ Chief Compliance Officer and Privacy Officer, and her team is responsible for overseeing the organization’s compliance program. The Legal and Compliance Department also manages all contracts and grants, organizational policies and procedures, general risk management, and Catholic Charities’ insurance portfolio.  elizabeth.knight@cctwincities.org


Keith Kozerski

Keith Kozerski, Senior Director of Child & Family Services

Keith is responsible for the eight programs that make up our Child & Family Services Division. He guides our early childhood education efforts at Northside Child Development Center and the programming at our Children’s Mental Health Day Treatment Program co-located within Minneapolis Public Schools. Keith also directs our work with youth experiencing homelessness at Hope Street for Homeless Youth’s Shelter, Transitional Living Program and Permanent Supportive Housing Program. He also supports the staff working with families experiencing homelessness at the Family Service Center and Coordinated Access to Housing and Diversion Programs. Keith also engages in advocacy for children and families as being an Executive Committee Member of the Board of AspireMN, a statewide association of providers working with children and families.  keith.kozerski@cctwincities.org


Patricia McCardle

Patricia McArdle, Senior Program Director of Aging and Disability Services

Patricia leads seven teams of social workers and administrative assistants who provide care coordination services to older adults and individuals with disabilities in order to ensure they can remain supported in the home of their choice. This includes the unique Homeless Elders team doing intensive care management to work through all barriers in achieving housing for our most vulnerable neighbors. The contracts she oversees are with both Hennepin and Ramsey county and UCare, Medica and Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She advocates for equitable resources and services for older adults by being on the Board of the MN Leadership Council on Aging. Patricia.McArdle@cctwincities.org


Hayley Mueller, Interim Vice President of Development

Michael McRath, Chief Human Resource Officer

Michael leads the Human Resources team at Catholic Charities. He and his team are responsible for all people matters: Staffing, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, Compensation, and Benefits. He provides oversight of how these services are delivered in strategic and tactical ways. Michael is passionate about equity and social justice and will be a key collaborator to the work of the Racial Equity and Social Justice Committee. Wendy Underwood

Wendy Underwood, Vice President of Social Justice Advocacy and Engagement

Wendy leads the Social Justice Advocacy and Engagement team, connecting Catholic Charities and the community through public sector action, grassroots advocacy, public/private partnerships and education. Wendy.underwood@cctwincities.org
